Charlene Rector 88, of Fern Creek, Kentucky died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville. Charlene McKnight was born January 18, 1934 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Charles and Elizabeth Rogers McKnight and was married to James Thomas Rector December 4, 1954. Charlene was a retired dental assistant for Dr. Kenneth Remmers and a member of Southeast Christian Church, where she was a volunteer with Lifebridge. In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by a daughter, Glynneva Jean Rector.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Tom; a son, James T. Rector, Jr. of Prospect; a daughter, Laura Rector Lucas (Brad) of Prospect; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucy May (Billy) of Richmond, KY and Shirley Eassa (Ed) of Melbourne, FL.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. (CDT) Monday at Island Community Cemetery in McLean County. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Charlene’s family.
