Urbana “Suzy” Reynolds, 97, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. Born in Lexington, she had been a secretary for both the Fayette County Board of Education and the Owensboro Board of Education as secretary of the Mary Mitchell Center. Happily married for 70 years, she and her husband Clarence did everything together. Mrs. Reynolds was an active and devoted member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and its Mary Lou Phillips Sunday school class and had been a member of the Owensboro Woman’s Club and the Art Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Barden Warren and Cora Bell Tucker Warren; her sisters Mamie Tucker Warren Sanders, Myrtle May Warren, and Jennie Bell Warren McCarthy; and her brother Walter Barden Warren, Jr.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her husband, Clarence Reynolds; her daughters Linda Gentry and her husband Park, of Leitchfield, and Sharon Duke and her husband Greg, of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren Eric (Loni) Gentry of Florence, KY, Lauren (Brandon) Beardsley of St. Augustine, FL, Megan (Nathan) Richter of Arlington, VA and Tabetha Duke of Pensacola, FL; her great-grandchildren Parker, Emery Lynn, and Griffin Gentry, Addisen and Kloe Beardsley, and Leighton and Graham Richter.
The funeral service for Mrs. Reynolds will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, where visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Western Kentucky or Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
