William D. Johnson, age 73 of Owensboro, passed away March 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1949 in Hawesville, KY to the late William Johnson, JR and Catherine Mundy Acton. William was Vietnam Veteran, was the nicest young man, God fearing Christian, giving person, loved his family, believed in what is right, made people laugh, and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Catherine Mundy Acton, daughter, Ursula (Decebian) Hartwell, three siblings, Janet Burton, James H. (Diana) Johnson, and Sandra (Sam) Hampton. William was blessed with three grandchildren Avery Hartwell, Aerion Hartwell (Jenysis), and Alayshia Hartwell and one grandchild, Reign Hartwell.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
