Frances Viola Gilmore, 58, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on April 13, 1960 to late Thurman Gilmore and Oneida Payne Gilmore. She was employed at several companies as an Engineer. Frances was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, being outdoors, and animals. She loved her friends and family.
Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Gilmore Day, her brother, Ricky Gilmore, and her aunt, Joyce Howard.
Frances is survived by her sister, Marie Jones, her aunt, Deloris Blinco both of Owensboro, Kentucky, nieces and nephews: Amye (Shayne) Pederson, Aaron (Katie) Day, Troy (Kelly) Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, Stephanie (Lucas Unsel) McCosh, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and several friends who were her chosen family in Houston, Texas.
Services will be 6:00 pm Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
