Nancy was born on April 8, 1938, in Cairo to Jamie Lee and Edna Marie (Calvert) Stevens. She married Eugene H. Minton on May 27, 1961. Later in life, Nancy reunited with her high school sweetheart, Bob Lentz. They shared over 20 years together.
Nancy worked in the Louisville school system and at Kentucky Wesleyan College during her time in Kentucky. She enjoyed watching all sports and cheering everyone on. She loved to explore nature, and especially doing so by hiking. Nancy loved her dear friends that she met throughout her lifetime, she always had a wonderful time when she was with them. When she entered a room she sparkled and soon everyone in the room was laughing and having a good time. Nancy was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Louisville. Zion created the perfect foundation for building her circle of friends who were like family. When she and Eugene left Louisville for Owensboro, a whole new circle of friends emerged at the college. Nancy attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority.
She is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Rebecca) Minton-Holmes of Wheatfield and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jamie and Edna Stevens, husband, Eugene H. Minton, brothers Jamie Stevens & Charlie Stevens, and her sweetheart, Bob Lentz.
