
CENTRAL CITY – Lucille Virginia Goff Rule, 93, of Central City, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at 6:44AM at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Rule was born March 14, 1929, in Ohio. She graduated from Drakesboro High School in 1948. She was the oldest active member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Her profession of faith was made in 1946 and she was a faithful member ever since that time. She was a wonderful homemaker, cook, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her entire family. She loved to quilt and sew, and had a passion for serving others. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Rule; parents, Jimmie and Bessie Goff; sister, Elaine Hawes; and brothers, James Goff, Willis Goff, Ray Goff, Doc Goff, and Billy Goff.
She is survived by her son, David (Vanessa) Rule of Pembroke; daughter, Betty Rule of Central City; grandchildren, Natasha (Bryon) Newman, Nikki Rule, and Jessica Rule; great-grandchildren, Brady Newman, Noah Newman, Sophia Lopez, and Evan Rule; and sister, Pat Latham of Greenville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Central City, with Bro. Jared Baker officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery.
