Donnie Ray Brown, 64, of Owensboro went to his heavenly home Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born July 15, 1954 to Cecil and the late Aline Brown. Donnie was of the Baptist faith. He worked for NSA for 13 years and also worked at Unilever for over 20 years. Donnie enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Most of all, he loved taking his grandsons fishing and he loved making homemade ice cream for his family and friends at summertime gatherings. Donnie will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Brown in 1976; his grandson, Logan Adams in 2015.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Carla Parish Brown of Owensboro; his father, Cecil Brown of Owensboro; his daughters, Janette Wink (Mike) of Philpot and Stacy Poole (Carl) of Maceo; his grandsons, Noah Wink, Dylan Poole, and Brett Poole; his brother, Robert Brown (Jennifer) of Lewisport; his sister, Cathy Smith of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Brother Jim Bob Allen will officiate. The burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The visitation will be 2-8PM Monday and 11AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
