Debbie Burdon, 36, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at her home in Connersville, IN. She was born August 15, 1985, in Owensboro, KY to Lotus and Pam (Newcomb) Stogner.
Debbie was a graduate of Daviess Co. High School (03), Campbellsville University (BS 07), and University of the Cumberlands (M.Ed. 12). She married Jeremiah Burdon on July 7, 2007. Debbie taught high school math for five years before leaving to become a stay-at-home mom. Jeremiah and Debbie adopted their sons Elijah (7) and Samuel (2), and Debbie loved being home to care for, educate and teach them to love Jesus. She was an active member of Western Avenue Baptist Church in Connersville where, as the pastor’s wife, she served in many capacities. Debbie loved crafting, cooking and baking, reading, and caring for her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lotus, and many other beloved family members.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Jeremiah; her sons Elijah and Samuel; her mother Pam; a brother Eric (Renee) Stogner; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Debbie are invited to attend visitation and the service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, April 25, 2022. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the celebration of life service at 4:00 PM. Rev. Ben Houston will officiate.
