Connard Lee Spencer, age 63 of Big Clifty passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 26, 1959 in Leitchfield the son of Lacy “Jr.” and Katherine Kinkade Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was a gunsmith by trade and owned Spencer’s Gunsmithing. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with his grandchildren. His wonderful personality was contagious especially when he would reach out a helping hand to anyone who knew him.
Left to honor Connard’s memory are his children, Travis Higdon, Carrie Higdon and Stephanie Spencer, four grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Dalton Higdon, Landria Spencer and Austin Williams, his mother, Katherine Spencer, and five siblings, Marilyn Sue Beeler, Beverly Miller, Jeanette Darnall, Barry Spencer and Gloria Shields.
Aside from his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bauch Spencer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Tim Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday and again from 9:00 am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
