CENTRAL CITY – Georgia Uberta “Bert” Johnson, 96, of Central City, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 10:15PM at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born September 6, 1925, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Central City. She was a strong woman who was a fierce protector of herself and her family. She lived her life exactly the way she wanted to. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Terry Johnson; parents, Oscar and Delia Blaine; son, Timothy Wayne Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Jan Johnson.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Synaca (Jason) Norman of Charlotte, NC; Jim Ross; brother, Richard (Helen) Arnold; and caregiver, Tammy Basham.
Graveside funeral services will be Friday, May 6, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, with Rev. Kevin Reed officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
