Evelyn Bailey, age 87 of Hawesville, KY passed away May 20, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on January 25, 1935, daughter of the late Raymond and Maude Thomas Lyons. Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working puzzle books and playing cards. She attended Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Bailey, brother Junior Lyons and sister Etta Pile.
Evelyn is survived by 7 children: David Ford of Cloverport, KY; Billy Ford of Philpot, KY; Tom Ford, Katherine Tindle and Kathleen Dawson of Hawesville, KY; Margaret Wethington of Lewisport, KY and Wilma Jean Noffsinger of Hartford, KY
16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter
2 sisters: Elsie Gray of Hardinsburg, KY and Betty Fraze of Elizabethtown, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11 AM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 8:30 AM.
