Robert Donald Alexander, age 79 of Harned, KY passed away May 25, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville. Don was born in Harned, KY on January 31, 1943, son of the late Morris and Juanita Tucker Alexander. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and a Kentucky Colonel. Don loved photography and for many years owned a frame shop and photo studio in Harned. He had many interests that include fishing, landscaping and gardening. Over the last few years, many came to know him as “the furniture man” because of his collection of outdoor furniture.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Runell Alexander, son Jeff Alexander and great grandson Carson Sebastian.
Don is survived by his wife Aggie Weatherholt Alexander of Harned, KY
2 children: Chris (Rita) Alexander of Hardinsburg, KY and Tara Weatherholt of Durham, NC
8 grandchildren: Jordan (Kristin), Kelsey, Elizabeth (Shane), Kimberly (Jim), Brandi (Devin) and Robbie Alexander, Aaron Shrewsberry and Lauren (Darren) Sebastian
9 great grandchildren: Presley Eden, Brody, Mikey, Colt, Vada, Blake, Bowen, Annaliese and Everett
1 sister: Margie (Danny) Higgs of Caneyville, KY
several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday, 8:30 – 10:30 AM. All times are central.
