Alice Frances “Jenny” Duke, 88, of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bewleyville, KY on October 7, 1933 to the late James Gus Carwile and Feba Fleming. Jenny was retired from Breckinridge Memorial Hospital where she spent many years working as a dietary aide. She was a member of Cloverport Wesleyan Church. She had many interests that include reading her bible, embroidery, travel, working seek and find books, attending church services and playing with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Duke, 2 great grandchildren Madison Brooke Bennett and Franklin Wade Smith and siblings Katherine Louise Duke, Ola Mae Priest, Neoma Carwile, Betty Crowe, James Mathias Carwile, Charles Wesley Carwile and Larry Alex Carwile.
Jenny is survived by 2 daughters: Kathy Ellen (Steven) Jolly and Donna Turpin (Steven Horsley) of Hardinsburg, KY
Grandchildren: Anthony Wayne (Nancy) Bennett, Kim Smith (Rodney), Travis Turpin, Alexis, Michael and William ‘Rad’ Horsley
Great Grandchildren: Kyle, Emily and Logan Bennett, Garren Smiley, Braxton Smith and Ava Turpin
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 1 PM with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
