Jewel Armes Drake Burch, age 73 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away June 5, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born in Breckinridge County on July 3, 1948, daughter of the late Denver and Edith Clark Armes. She was a member of Custer Church of God and Custer Order of Eastern Star # 456. Jewel retired as a driver of the Breckinridge County Adult Handicapped bus, a job she held for many years. Jewel enjoyed gardening, Bluegrass music, reading, and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, friends and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Armes.
Jewel is survived by her husband Henry Burch of Hardinsburg, KY
children: Steve (Stephanie) Drake of Summitt, KY; Nina Daigle of Hudson, KY and Shelia Drake of Elizabethtown, KY
stepchildren: Cecil Burch of McQuady, KY, Cynthia Burch-Tong Rebecca and Ouida Burch of Owensboro, KY
several grandchildren and great grandchildren
sister: Gladys Burden of Hudson, KY
brothers: Larry (Kathy) Armes of Hartford, KY and Robert Armes of Hardinsburg, KY
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10 AM with burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday after 8:30 AM. An Eastern Star service is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 PM. All times are central time.
