Margaret Austin Rock, 90 of Hartford, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Fordsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 31, 1932, in Ohio County to the late Lloyd C. and Gladys Bartlett Austin. Margaret was a member of Ohio County Christian Center, formerly known as Beaver Dam Assembly of God and she worked at Sheffield’s Restaurant as well as the cafeteria and coffee shop at Ohio County Hospital.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Rock; one great grandson, Ryker Outland; three sisters, Agnes Salman, Wanda Cochran and Gladys Durbin and eight brothers, Lloyd Austin, Jr., Charles Austin, Gene Durbin, Frank Durbin, Paul Durbin, Ronald Durbin, Donald Durbin, and Roger Durbin.
She leaves behind to cherish many memories, her children, Lindell Rock of Hartford, Karen (Randall) Outland of Morgantown, Marilyn (James C.) Jones of Beaver Dam and James Rock of Owensboro; two sisters, Barbara (Larry) Kiefer of Gridley, Illinois and Anna Lehr of El Paso, Illinois and one brother, James (Ruth) Austin of Winchester, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, David, Johnathan, Stephen, Joseph, McKenzie, Samantha, Ryan, Matthew, Lindsey, Kelsey, and James Jr. and several great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2022, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with James Rock officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 P.M. on Sunday and from 9 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
