Sue Geneva “Pauline” Sutherland, 74, of Hawesville passed away after a short issue with cancer at the Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, IN.
Sue was born in Hancock County to the late Waldo and Mary Alberta Carol Tindle on June 20, 1947, part of a large family. She loved quilting, gardening and about any kind of yard work. She enjoyed being outdoors, but her true love was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Charles Sutherland; brothers, OW, Waldo, Ruben and Ernest Tindle; sisters, Peggy Smith, Daisy Cole, Agnes Patterson and Genevieve Tindle.
Leaving behind to celebrate the life that she lived, but mourning the loss of Sue in their lives are her sons, Jeff (Melissa) Smith of Patesville, Pascal (Martina) Smith, Patesville, step-son, Ronnie (Gayle) Hancock of Louisville; daughters, Gwynda (Bub) Litherand, Tell City, Rebecca (TJ) Henderson, Tell City; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews and a very special friend Helga Boxheimer.
A celebration of her life and accomplishments will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hawesville with Bro. Brian Atkins officiating. After the celebration, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles Sutherland.
