Cody Alan Kirkpatrick, 25, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in Panama City, Florida. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born March 27, 1993 in Daviess County to Bradley Kirkpatrick and Robin Sosh. Cody graduated from DCHS in 2011 and worked for Asplundh Tree Services where he was helping with hurricane cleanup in Florida. Cody was known as a hard worker and would have gone far in the company. Growing up, Cody loved cars and motorcycles and was a “should-be mechanic”. He had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh and was always willing to help others. Cody was a follower of Jesus Christ and attended Matthew’s Table. He loved his family, his four-year-old daughter, Tesla, and his fiancé, Shianne Rice.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tesla Kirkpatrick; mother, Robin Sosh (Mike Payne); father, Bradley Kirkpatrick; grandmother, Carol Howard who raised Cody from childhood and her husband Ken; grandmother, Sharon Johnson (Wavie); brother, Mitchell Johnson (Kristy) all of Owensboro; sister, Nickie Johnson of Henderson; fiancé, Shianne Rice; cousins, Stevie Cummings (Jake) of Owensboro, Eric Farley (Emily) of Louisville, KJ and Zach Farley of Missouri; uncles, Stephen and Kevin Farley, Alan Sosh, and Derick Johnson all of Owensboro; numerous nieces and nephews and other cousins.
Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 30 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm and Tuesday after 9:00 am.
