DRAKESBORO – David Earl Thomas, 62, of Drakesboro, died Sunday, July 3, 2022, at 4:48AM at his home. Mr. Thomas was born September 9, 1959, in Whitley County, KY. He was a retired truck driver and member of Revival House Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Thomas, Jr.; and mother, Frankie Lee Trosper Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie Gibson Thomas; sons, Jessie Joe (Melissa) Thomas of Pendergrass, GA, David Waylon (Courtney) Thomas of Statham, GA, Thomas Slusher of Hyden, KY, and Charles (Brooke) Gibson of Dickson, TN; daughters, Reagan Olivia Thomas of Drakesboro, Lauren (Ashley) Buxton of Milan, TN, and Erica Gibson of Milan, TN; sisters, Melissa (Michael) Gray, Peggy Sue Storms, and Kathy (Troy) Thomas, all of Woodbine, KY; and grandchildren, Jackson Thomas, Arabella Gibson, Avery Gibson, Everly Gibson, Presley Buxton, Jamison Buxton, Ellie Buxton, Julia Hut, Caroline Sanders, Elizabeth Sanders, Aria Hernandez, Lilly Hernandez, Eli Hernandez, and Cassidy Jones.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Enoch Rich officiating, assisted by Rev. Joshua Rich and Ashley Buxton.
