Wilford “DBoy” Watson, 87, of McHenry, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 surrounded by his family under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. He was born September 2, 1934 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Carl Watson and Ann Lorene Raymer Watson. Mr. Watson retired from Ohio County Balefill.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Watson, Roy Watson and Richard Watson and four sisters, Wilma White, Linda Watson, Anna Jean Parrott and Luvine Benson.
Mr. Watson is survived by his ex-wife and companion Carolyn Allen of McHenry; son, Jamie Watson of McHenry; daughter, Rebecca (Dwayne) Laughary of McHenry; one granddaughter, Haley Wilkerson; two brothers, Billy Ray Watson of McHenry and Bobby Joe Watson of McHenry and one sister, Joyce (Bobby) Casteel of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Lindsay officiating. Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery in McHenry, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Mr. Watson’s family from 3-7 PM Wednesday and from 9 AM until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
