Barbara Ann Henderson, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County in 1947 to the late Paul Kitchens and Mary Fulkerson Kitchens. She was employed for many years as a nurse’s aide at Medco and Hillcrest Nursing Home and then she was an in-house caregiver for River Valley (Strategic Partnerships) until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and her four “adopted” grandbabies, Haley, Grayson, Adilynn and Ella Bradshaw. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis and oldies music and watching Westerns.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ronald Lee Henderson; and three brothers, Larry Kitchens, David Kitchens and Clarence Kitchens.
She is survived by a son, Brian Lee Henderson and a daughter, Nikki Ann Henderson, both of Owensboro; and a brother, Jerry Lee Kitchens, of Narrows, KY.
Per Barbara’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of her care.
