Robert Wayne Boyle, 85, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at home, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in McLean county on August 4, 1933 to the late Henry Coleman Boyle and Daisy Pitt Boyle. Robert was a member and deacon of Sorgho Baptist Church. He was retired from M.P.D. and General Electric where he worked as an electronic technician. Robert enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friend Reby Rolley. He especially loved his tractors and family get togethers.
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Wayne Boyle, his grandson, Nathan Pruden, his brother, Durward C. Boyle, and his sister, Betty B. Oliver.
Robert is survived by his wife, Patsy Sue Taylor Boyle, his son, Robert Alan Boyle, his daughters: Linda Sue (Jayce) Goode, Shirlee Kay (Jerry) Rager, Patti Ann (Neil) Padgett, Alexis Schaber; his grandchildren: Danny (Trista) Boyle, Jesse Boyle, Linda Ann (Adam) Burden, Christie (Jeff) Goerz, Caryn (Michael) Gabbard, Jeremy Rager, Caityn Schaber, Tony Glenn Schaber; and 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, and a special brother-in-law, Larry Wedding, who was always there for him.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Elba, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and again from 10:00 am until the time of service.
