Gerald “Jerry” Thomas Jackey, age 76 of Hudson, KY passed away September 10, 2022 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born in Louisville, KY on May 12, 1946, son of the late Joseph and Magdelene Wissel Jackey. Jerry was a retired machinist with the Naval Ordance and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarkson, KY and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry and his wife Mary volunteered for over 40 years with the Tunnel Mill Boy Scout Camp in Charlestown, IN where Jerry served as a ranger for 8 years. He was a member of the Eagle review board and Pinewood Derby as well as many workshops. It was very important to Jerry that all children who were involved with scouting were on equal footing and had the same opportunities.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his son Kyle Thomas Jackey and brothers Robert and Jimmy Jackey.
Jerry is survived by Mary, his wife of 57 years who is the love of his life and his best friend.

daughter-in-law – Michele Jackey of Taylorsville, KY
7 grandchildren – Amber Parker (Keith), Hayley Jackey, Max Thomas Jackey, Kyle Kelly, Miranda, Scott and Joshua
9 great grandchildren
1 brother – Don Jackey (Pat) of Louisville, KY
1 sister – Mary Rose Sott of Ravenna, OH
Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarkson, KY on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1 PM with burial in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 AM – 1 PM.
