Roger Dale Bickett, 68, of Hawesville, passed away November 10, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Roger was born at the family home in Roseville, KY on January 23, 1950 to the late Cleophas and Etta Myrl Corley Bickett. He also lived in Lexington and Louisville before moving back to Hancock County where he worked as an electrician at Aleris from 1980 till 2018 when he retired. Roger graduated from the United Electronics Institute in Louisville and attended the University of Kentucky where he studied engineering. He was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and had a passion for gun collecting. Roger also was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hawesville, KY.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Dennis and Tony Bickett.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jean Bickett, of Largo, Florida; a sister, Charlotte Carrico and her husband, James, of Derby, IN; three brothers, James Bickett and his wife, Gwan, of Cloverport, KY, Darrell Bickett of Hawesville, and Rick Bickett of Hawesville; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service for Mr. Roger Dale Bickett will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday.
