Anna "Darby" Roberts Honeycutt

September 16, 1922 - November 15, 2018

Anna “Darby” Roberts Honeycutt, 96, of Owensboro, passed away November 15, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County on September 16, 1922 to the late Dewey and Carrie Spencer Roberts. Darby loved her family. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and hosting Christmas. Darby was a strong-willed, independent and hard-working woman. She retired from the Cigar Factory as an inspector after 20 years. She was also known for her frequent visits to Red Lobster and The Olive Garden. Darby is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Honeycutt; four infant children; daughter, Joyce Ann Miller; son, Edward Louis Rhinerson; granddaughter, Kim Ross; and sister, Elloise Osborne.

She is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Hazelwood; grandchildren, Kenneth Miller (Beth), Marty Rhinerson (Michelle), Stacy Rhinerson Campbell (Kelly), Tonya Rhinerson Kirby (Joey), Scott Rhinerson and Tammy Rhinerson Sparks; several great and great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment at Owensboro Memorial Gardens will follow. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Kosairs Children’s Hospital.
