Eupha Lee Philpot, 100, of Philpot, passed away November 16, 2018, at her residence in One Park Place. Eupha was born in Daviess County on October 14, 1918, to the late Chesley and Mattie Burgess Dunn. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church for many years and taught Sunday School class. Eupha also loved to cook for her friends and her family.
She also was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl Harris Philpot; a sister, Emma Louise Roehm and her husband, Bennett; a brother, William T. Dunn and his wife, Mattie; and a son-in-law, Glenn Eugene Erwin.
Eupha is survived by her daughters, Dora Mae Erwin of Rockport, IN and Rachel Phelps and her husband, Glenn, of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Lynn Erwin Hayworth of Acworth, GA, Emily Coakly and her husband, Tim, of Roselle Park, NJ, Mike Erwin and his wife, Kay, of Rockport, IN and Pat Erwin and his wife, Tina, of Rockport, IN; six great-grandchildren;seven great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Randall Dunn and his wife, Veronica, of Flint, MI.
The funeral service for Eupha Lee Philpot will be at 12 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with Brother Tab Cook officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
