Sandra I. “Sandy” Johnson, 73, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born January 8, 1945 in Parkersburg, W. VA to the late Brady N. and Thelma L Davis Terrell. Sandy was a homemaker and member of Christ Community Church. She had been involved with the Welcome Wagon Club, was a former Jayceette, and an avid fan of Ohio State Buckeye football. Sandy especially loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Sandy was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Lee Shaw, a sister-in-law, Lynda J. Johnson, and a nephew, Craig Reed.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Allan Johnson, two daughters, Dawn Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Wendy LaRoche of Owensboro, two granddaughters, Autumn and Kaitlyn Conner of Owensboro, a sister, Janet (Jerry) Stevens of Indianapolis, IN, a brother-in-law, Jim Shaw of Columbus, OH, and all of her loving pets, Chewy, Zoey, Oreo, Sapphire, Tobi, Hiccup, Chinatown, Lily, and Leo.
The Funeral service for Sandra Johnson will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 24, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
