Otis Bartlett, Jr., 69, of Owensboro passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Daviess County on July 24, 1949, he was the son of the late Otis Bartlett, Sr. and Ida Mae Hicks Bartlett; was a retired meat cutter; enjoyed watching NASCAR and UK basketball; and spending time with his family. Mr. Bartlett had a “heart of gold” and would help anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abigail Grace Shoemake; brothers, Norman Bartlett, David Bartlett, and William Bartlett; and a sister, Barbara Vanover.
Surviving are daughters, Amy (Chris) McLevain and Lisa (Steve) Jackson both of Owensboro, and Brenda (Jamie) Shoemake of Petel, MS; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Danny (Mary Lou) Bartlett and Larry (Debbie) Bartlett both of Owensboro; and sisters, Mary Mattingly and Martha Sue Fraize of Owensboro.
Service will be private with care provided by Cardinal Cremation Society.
