Dora Ann Wright, age 73 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away January 4, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County on February 16,1949, daughter of the late Ben and Lora Lee Gregg Ferry. Dora attended Corinth Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved watching redbirds, the sun rise and set while drinking a cup of coffee, shopping yard sales, dancing, watching wrestling, Gunsmoke and Jerry Lewis movies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wright; sons, Darrell and Jeff; siblings, Joe, Lester, Herbert, Willie, Paul, Roy, Foy, Guy, Tom, Vitula, Dorothy and Mary Ruth.
Dora is survived by 2 sons – Jason Wright of Cloverport, KY and Rodney (Tina) Wright of Green Bay, Wisconsin
9 grandchildren – Ashley, Paige, Courtney, Chance, Presley, Joey, James, Wendy and Jonathan
1 great grandchild – Sonny
1 brother – Loneard Ferry of Illinois
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1 PM with burial in the McDaniels Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM on Tuesday.
