Virginia Lee Burden, 88, of Owensboro passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Ohio County Hospital. Mrs. Burden was born January 30, 1930 in Muhlenberg County to the late Clarence E. Harrison and Velva Napier Harrison. Virginia was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and retired from National Linen Service as a Supervisor. She was also a member of the VFW and the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) and former president. Virginia loved her family and had a zest for life. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and was an avid bowler.
Mrs. Burden was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Burden in 1988; son, Clarence Eugene Frailley in 2017; brother, Carroll E. Harrison in 1995.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Richard G. Frailley and wife Katrina of Hartford; nine grandchildren, Richard E. Frailley (Lauri) of Chattanooga, TN, Brian R. Frailley of Owensboro, Christa Beth Storm (Mike) of Newburgh, Indiana, Julie D. Leishman (Brian) also of Newburgh, Bridget L. Frailley (Ashley) of LaGrange, Carrie E. Howell of Buford, Georgia, April Frailley, Victoria Frailley, and Sabrina Frailley all of Ft. Valley, Georgia; brother, Robert W. Harrison (Judy) of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Virginia Burden will be 2:00 Tuesday, November 27 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 10:00 till 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
