GREENVILLE, KY., Lloyd Eugene Loney, 84, of Greenville passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Muhlenberg County on January 18, 1939 the son of William Darwin Loney and Juanita “Bill” Vincent Loney. He served in the US Army stationed in Germany. One of his greatest pleasures was watching certain favorite TV shows like Gunsmoke, MASH, Hogan’s Heroes, and Andy Griffith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 52 years Wanda Aileen Loney, daughter Terri Loney, son-in-law Ronald Joe Rhoades, and 3 brothers Tommy Loney, Joe Loney, and Delbert Loney.
He is survived by 2 daughters Jennifer Rhoades of Greenville and Rhonda (John) Doyle of Glasgow, 4 grandchildren Lora (Chris) Ellis, Kaila Anderson, Joshua Doyle, and Hannah Doyle, 3 great grandchildren Lacy Ellis, Blake Ellis, and Madilyn Sova, brother-in-law Hubert (Kay) Joines Jr. of Greenville, sister-in-law Claudia Loney of Huntsville, AL., several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10:00 until time of service on Friday, January 27 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville conducted by John Doyle. Burial will follow in Joines Chapel Cemetery in Greenville.
