Garrett Powell 20, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Steven Garrett Powell was born September 9, 2002 in Henderson, Kentucky. Garrett was a farm laborer and attended Community Church in Calhoun. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his papaw and loved his music. Garret was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jackie and Charles Stovall and by an uncle, Zachary Murphy.
Survivors include his mother, Kim Powell (Rodney Crick) of Calhoun; his father, Jamie Powell of Calhoun; grandparents, Steve and Susie Wilson of Sacramento; great grandmothers, Louise Waters and Lou Mincy both of Calhoun; a brother, Gage Powell of Calhoun; a sister, Madison Powell (Jeremy Hallman) of Calhoun; a nephew, Maverick Hallman; two aunts, Heather Wilson of Utica and Christy Perrin (Drew) of Rumsey; several cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Drew Perrin. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Garrett’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
