Don Oliver Bronn, 65, of Owensboro, passed away November 29, 2018, at his home. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 31, 1953 to Oliver J. and Ruth M. Parker Bronn. Don graduated from Eastern High School in Middletown, KY and Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. He worked at Kroger in various positions and retired on the same date as he started 33 years before. Don had a great passion for videography and worked doing that at Owensboro Community and Technical College and for local television stations, where he loved to edit video, produce Christian DVD’s and videos for distribution to others. He attended non-denominational Christian churches, and his church membership belonged at Third Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver J. Bronn.
Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laura Gabhart Bronn; his mother, Ruth M. Parker Bronn; two brothers, John Bronn and his wife, Ruth, of Eagle, Alaska and Jim Bronn and his wife, JoAnn, of Columbia, SC; and a nephew, Darby Bronn of Louisville, KY.
The funeral service for Don Bronn will be at noon Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with Dr. Ron Williams and Pastor Ron Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY on Thursday.
