GREENVILLE – Jonathan “Jon” Lewis Scott, 45, of Greenville, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 8:45AM at his residence. Jonathan “Jon” Scott was born June 17, 1977 to Lisa Newman and John T. Scott. Jon worked as the superintendent for Elite Welding and Industrial Services. He loved his wife of 25 years, Sabrina Slinker Scott, with whom he enjoyed a life of adventure. Jon and Sabrina traveled coast to coast with his job but he was most at peace on the family farm (Windy Valley) or on Lake Barkley in a fast boat. Ja`ger (his English Lab) was a favorite companion and good buddy. Jon was never serious and always enjoyed silly sayings, like “you can’t fix stupid.” Jon was devoted to his wife and he adored his nephews (Levi and Sawyer) as if they were his own.
Jon is survived by his wife, Sabrina Scott; mother and father-in-law, Wallace, and Vicki Slinker; brother-in-law, Scott (Lindsey) Slinker; and nephews. He leaves behind his welding torches.
Graveside services are Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00AM at Cave Springs Cemetery with Eric Belcher officiating. Burial to follow.
