Frederick J. Boarman, 71, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Boarman was born January 27, 1947 in Owensboro to the late Xavier Boarman and Lillian Leek Boarman. Fred had a great voice and was employed as a Disc Jockey in broadcasting for many years. He was a very generous and kind person who would often give away his own basic necessities. Fred could play the guitar and was part of a band at one time and even though he had a good broadcasting voice, he could not sing. He was a great conversationalist and could talk with anyone about seemingly anything. Fred was also very intelligent and loved history, music, and poetry writing many poems himself over the years.
Survivors include his companion, Fawn Darrows, numerous cousins, and good friend, Gene Boehman (Margaret) all of Owensboro.
A private memorial service for Fred Boarman was held Thursday, December 6 at Resurrection Chapel. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
