James A. Pruden, 87, of Owensboro, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Jim was born on June 3, 1931 in Daviess County to the late A.E. & Etta Bell Pruden. He was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. Jim retired from S.W. Anderson and was the owner of Pruden Window Fashions. He enjoyed all sports, especially UK and KWC Basketball. He is preceded in death by his son, Jamie Pruden; grandson, Justin Pruden; stepdaughter, Sheridan Adcox; brother, Ben Pruden; sisters, Georgia Emma Murakami, Ida Mae Pruden, and Thelma Cornette
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Cicily Pruden; three daughters, Lee Ann Crabtree, Marijane McNeil, Norma Vanover; two stepsons, Samuel Green and Stephen Green; two stepdaughters, Sandy Johnson and Serena Brown; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Frances Vetter and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
