Joseph Edward Clouse, 81, of Owensboro died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family after a seven year battle with Alzheimer’s. Eddie was born in Daviess County on May 23, 1937 to the late James Robert Clouse and Mary Christine Dant Clouse. He retired from W R Grace and had also worked in Maintenance at Mt St. Joe. Eddie enjoyed farming, gardening, and cutting firewood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wayne Clouse on May 17, 2011; a daughter Joanna Faye Clouse in 1966; and a brother, Thomas Garland “Gary” Clouse.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Cherylanne Clouse; three sons, Danny Clouse, Sr., Robby Clouse and his wife, Natalie, and Keith Ryan Clouse; a daughter, Terrie Shown; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Richard Clouse, Larry Clouse, Paul Ronald Clouse, and Donald Eugene Clouse; four sisters, Martha Young, Pat Fogle, Sharon Hayden, and Carol Head; and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
