Neva Westerfield, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born February 27, 1929 in Ohio County to the late Clarence and Mary Christene Daugherty Worley. Neva retired after 30 years from Kroger and was a member of Spencer County Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Westerfield; son, Alan N. Westerfield; and son-in-law, Gary Buse.
Survivors include her son, Michael B. Westerfield (Denice) of Panama City, FL; a daughter, Donna Lee Buse of Richland, IN; nine grandchildren, Julie Dumars (Roy) from St. Cloud, FL, Steven “Jeff” Westerfield from Tampa, FL, Michael “Mikie” Westerfield (Nicole) from Panama City, FL, Christi Lee (Josh) from Owensboro, Misti Moore (Justin) from Owensboro, Mindy Cecil, from Owensboro, Steve Buse (Alicia) from Hatfield, IN,Kim Cecil (Brian) from Grandview, IN, and Robert Lee, from Owensboro; and 15 great-grandchildren, who she was so proud of and loved to brag about.
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Private entombment will be in Rosehill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
