William Lee Harper

August 25, 1977 - December 18, 2018

William Lee Harper, 85, of Owensboro (formerly of Livermore) passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Equality, KY on August 25, 1933, Mr. Harper was the son of the late Ben and Bessie Pendley Harper; was retired from Ford Motor Company and then from McLean County Schools where he served as a bus driver for many years and was affectionately known as “Mr. Bill” by students. He was also a veteran of the US Army and the Army Reserves. When he lived in Livermore, he enjoyed spending time at the store and playing scratch-offs.

Surviving are his daughters, Pamela (Curtis) Baird and Kim Arnold (Vince) of Owensboro, and Terri (Marshall) Phillips of Canton, GA; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-nephew, Seth (Tiffany) Harper of Greenville.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Care provided by Cardinal Cremation Society.
