Larry Sutton 74, of Rumsey, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his home in Rumsey. Larry Sutton was born January 23, 1949 in Rumsey, Kentucky to the late Barney and Minnie Cobb Sutton and was married to the former Mary Margaret Cardwell January 11, 1973. Larry retired as a supervisor from Ragu in Owensboro, was a member of Nickel Ridge Holiness Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, restoring tractors, woodworking, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mary Sutton, who died May 28, 2019.
Survivors include a son, Larry Lee Sutton (Tabatha) of Rumsey; two daughters, Tracy Sosh (Dennis) of Calhoun and Cathy Ashton (Aric Hays) of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, Cameron Ashton, Aaron Ashton, Elizabeth LeBlanc (Thomas), Jonathon Sutton, Terry “Rowan” Knight, Adam Knight, and Isaiah Sosh; 7 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Carter of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Cletus Sinnett officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
