Patricia Jewell 77, of the Comer Community in McLean County, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Patricia Diane Higgs was born October 8, 1945 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Hubert and Nita Burden Higgs and was married to Carl Ray Jewell May 11, 1984. Pat retired from Carhart in Sebree, later managed Carl & Pat’s Poultry and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed both watching and participating in tractor pulls, where she won two championships. Pat also enjoyed fishing, quilting, trapshooting, and was a member of Amateur Trapshooting Association. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by two daughters, Lori Crabtree and Lisa Howard and by a grandson, Shay Crabtree.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Carl Jewell; a son, Wayne Howard; a step son, Tim Jewell (Tina) of Comer; a step daughter, Angie Lilly of Henderson; 6 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol Wilson of Owensboro, Brenda Jones of Florida and Stacy Heflin of Elba.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Jim Midkiff officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Pat’s family from 11:30 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
