Michael Ray Bartlett, 63, of Owensboro, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 14, 1955 in Elizabethtown, KY to Glen Ray Bartlett and Shirley Ann Johnson Bartlett. He was a member of Dawson Baptist Church, Owensboro Balloon Twisters and Lion’s Club. Michael participated in C.L.E.W. program for high school students. He enjoyed bowling, reading and working for Habitat for Humanity but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Sue Dawson Bartlett; son, Derek Plemens (Tammy); daughters, Tonya Green (Chris) and Tifani Wedding (Travis); his mother, Shirley Koonce; his father, Glen Bartlett (Edie); grandchildren, Melissa Beitler (Adam), Tyler Plemens, Treston Wedding, Kylee Plemens, Hannah Allen, Makenzie Plemens, Keagan Plemens, Mark Allen; one great-granddaughter, Ava Wedding; brothers, Larry Bartlett (Robin), Tim Bartlett (Dion) and Kelly Bartlett; sisters, Joan Courtney and Ann Slaughter (Jim); step-brother, Gary Childers (Fran); step-sister, Shirley Koonce; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
