SOUTH CARROLLTON – Harry L. Neal, Jr., 77, of South Carrollton, died Monday, May 24, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Mr. Neal was born December 31, 1945 in Muhlenberg County. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a mechanic for Island Creek Coal. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to sing and entertain in various venues. His favorite music was country. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home to the mountains and going on rafting trips with his family. His other pastime was fishing at Rochester dam. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Dorothy J. Neal; parents, Harry, and Harriett Neal; brothers, Jimmy Neal, David Neal; sister, Sue Mae Cunningham; and daughter, Catrina Neal.
He is survived by his son, Jason (Mandy)Pointer; daughter, Elizabeth Brooke Neal; brothers, Phillip (Melissa) Neal, Matt (Donna) Neal; sisters, Reba (Gary) Oldham, Mary Jo (Dan) Lynch, Bobbi Zemo; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Natalie Crick, Isabella Pointer, Jason Pointer, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Chevy Detalente.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Mike Neal officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
