Jacob Anderson

Jacob Irvin Anderson, born on August 16, 2005, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away on June 1, 2023. A humble and loving young man, Jacob touched the lives of all who knew him with his thoughtful nature and resilient spirit. As Helen Keller once said, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” Jacob’s life was a testament to this truth. Throughout his 17 years in Leitchfield, Jacob attended Grayson County High School, where he excelled as a student, achieving all A’s and B’s. He was known for his passion for playing video games with his friends, which brought joy to both himself and those around him. What mattered most to Jacob, however, was his deep connection to his family and grandparents. He will be fondly remembered as a cherished brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who brought happiness and love to every moment shared with him. Jacob is survived by his grandparents, James and Cathy Anderson; his father, James Anderson; his grandmother, Loraine Cheatham; his siblings, Johnathan Anderson, Catelyn Anderson, Tyler Moore, and Stephanie Harris. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessica Cheatham; his great-grandparents, Chester and Virginia Davis; and his grandfather, Randy Cheatham. As we come together to mourn the loss of Jacob Anderson, we must also celebrate the memories we shared with him. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Please join us in honoring Jacob’s life by leaving your memories and uploading photos to his memorial page.
