GREENVILLE, KY., Helen Yvonne Evans, 84, of Greenville passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Grayson County on October 18, 1938 the daughter of Shelby Higgs and Lulua Woosley. She was of the Baptist faith and was a housewife and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell Evans, 3 sons Boyd Evans, Arnold Evans, and Eddie Evans, and 1 sister Hazel King.
She is survived by her Companion of 40 years Warren B. Simpson of Greenville, a daughter Della Rose (Charles) Teddleton of Weir, 5 sons Floyd Evans of Powderly, Ernest (Tana Lane) Evans of Madisonville, Gorden (Grace) Evans of Poke, FL., Evan Evans of Beaver Dam, and Marvin (Kelly) Evans of Manitou, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother Oscar (Martha) Higgs of Caneyville.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Liberty Church Cemetery in Morgantown, KY with Bro David Fall officiating. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY is in charge of arrangements.
