Mary Catherine York, 93, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport, Indiana. She was born March 17, 1925 in Daviess County to the late Lawton and Pearl Kennedy Mickel. Mary Catherine was retired as Office Manager for Dixon, White, and Baumgarten Radiologists and was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. York in July of 2003 and a brother, J. W. Mickel.
Mary Catherine is survived by her daughters, Nancy Nave Marshall and husband Leland and Sherri York McDaniel and husband Larry, all of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Billy Nave and wife Meredith of Philpot, Todd Nave and wife Amy of Philpot, Ryan McDaniel and wife Ashley of Owensboro, and Clay McDaniel and wife Emi of Atlanta, Georgia, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Joretta Mickel of Hartford.
The funeral service for Mary Catherine York will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
