Sherry Lynne Alvey, 69, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born in Fordsville on June 26, 1949 to Dortha Pulliam Perry and the late Robert Maxie Boling. Sherry was retired from the DaVita Owensboro Dialysis Center where she worked as a Dialysis technician for ten years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Sherry was a loving family person.
Along with her father, Sherry is preceded in death by her brother, Billy Hughes Boling.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 33 years, Michael James Alvey, her children: Bevonna Ralph, Karen Baird, Karen (Gary) Means; 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, her siblings, Bobby (Carole) Boling of Valparaiso, Indiana, Steve (Paula) Boling of Calvert City, Kentucky, and Michael (Faye) Boling of Owensboro.
Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Immaculate Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory and again from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at the church. Prayers will be 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Anthony Building Fund; 261 Saint Anthony Road; Utica, Kentucky 42376. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
