Virgie R Bosley

December 2, 1927 - January 13, 2019

Virgie R. Bosley, 91, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Heartland Villa Center in Lewisport. Mrs. Bosley was born December 2, 1927 in Owensboro to the late T.E. Roberts and Pauline Jones Roberts. Virgie graduated from Whitesville High School. She was a long time member of Providence United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was an active member of the United Methodist Women’s group. Virgie thoroughly enjoyed traveling, cooking and UK basketball. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bosley was also preceded in death by her husband, George H. Bosley in 1995 and her brothers, S.M., Hampton, Clyde, Buddy, Ira Lee, and Earl Ray Roberts.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Mike Bosley and wife Pat, Paula Martin and husband Larry both of Owensboro, and Cyndi Clark of Sugar Tree, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Eran Bosley, Josh Bosley (Yecy), Micah Bosley (Honoria), Tiffany Stiff (Brian), Magen Gray (Alex), Brandy Hiett (Michael), Jason Clark (Kamie), and Dana Clark (Randall Coleman); ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Bryce Roberts (Sue) and Edward Roberts Jr. (Bonnie); sister, Dorothy Jean Barnett; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Virgie Bosley will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 19 at Providence UMC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and Saturday after 10:00 am at the church.
