Alice F. Self, 61, of Owensboro passed way Tuesday, January 22, 2019 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Daviess County on June 6, 1957 to Harry E. Jones and Betty Jean Morris Jones. She was employed at Davco Rest Home where she worked as an Aide for 20 years. She enjoyed playing Kentucky lottery and bingo, and going to the casino with her son, Michael.
Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee “Butch” Self, her brother, George Jones, and her sister, Barbara Hagan.
Alice is survived by her children, Rachel Wootton, her son, Michael (Ron Harper) Self, her 5 grandchildren, Nakeita Wootton, Issaac Wootton, Tyler Johnson, Sierra Benito-Cruz, Alexis Benito-Cruz, 2 great- grandchildren, her siblings, Judy (Dale) Wedding and Martha Foster.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
