Linda Jo Hinton, 74, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County on October 27, 1944 to the late Royce Gatton and Thelma Silbereisen Gatton. Linda was retired from PNC Financial Services where she worked for 30 years. She loved to fish, travel, and boat racing.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Jared.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Hinton, her siblings, Steve Gatton and Helen Gesser, her sister-in-law, Ginny Hinton, her nieces and nephews, Ryan Gatton, Nick Gesser, Jeff Gesser, Chad (Susan) Gesser, Jackie, JoJo, CeCe, Michael, Todd Gatton, Haley (Jeremy) Morris, Toby, Sadie, Avery, Hadley, Jeremy Gesser, and Chris Hinton.
Services will 11:00 am Monday, February 11, 2019 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, with Father Mike Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, and again from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Monday at the funeral home. Prayers will be at 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
