Eloise Coffman 84, of Beech Grove, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Eloise Janette Brock was born September 11, 1939 in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Carl Delone and Vera Laura Brown Brock and was married to William Carl ‘Bill’ Coffman on May 2, 1964. Eloise was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to her family.
Eloise dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her personal life and professional career. She was a homemaker, always ensuring that her home was a place of comfort and warmth for her family. Eloise later retired from the Mount Saint Joseph Infirmary, where she cared for those in need with compassion and empathy. Her unwavering dedication to others was truly inspiring and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Eloise was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Beech Grove. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance throughout her journey.
Eloise had a vibrant personality and a variety of interests. She had a creative soul and enjoyed spending her free time sewing and painting. Her handmade creations were a reflection of her attention to detail and her passion for creating things that brought joy to others. She also cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. These moments of laughter, storytelling, and shared experiences were some of her most treasured times.
Eloise Coffman was a woman of incredible strength, boundless love, and immense grace. Her life was a testament to the power of faith, the importance of family, and the joy that can be found in the simple pleasures of life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bill Coffman, who died November 21, 2011.
Eloise is survived by her five daughters, Donna Buckelew, Belynda Taylor (Van), Carla Karch (Rob), April Market (Terry), and Falana Sexton (Kurt Oller); nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald Brock and Tony Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 13, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Eloise’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
